Actually, a new study from AptiQuant shows that on average, those using Internet Explorer 6 as their primary browser tend to have lower IQs than folks using more modern, non-Microsoft browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Camino. Go figure.
What I'm wondering is if that is a reflection of the people using the browser, or ultimately the corporate IT teams that refuse to update the browser since that would require applying several Service Packs to the Windows XP system to accomplish. One of the study's points was that people with lower IQs tend to resist change... I'm just sayin'... Actually, they are just sayin'...
So, no - IE6 won't melt your brain faster that tequila shots on a Summer night. But if you are still using it, you might want to consider upgrading sometime soon. It is free after all.
(For the record, I'm on Chrome and FF5 at this point in time... ;)
